Our tangled ball of disaster consisted of: property manager who illegally violated his contract, tenants who broke their lease and left us stranded, two houses to pay for with no notice, and within months we were facing foreclosure. You can’t rent out a house when you’re behind on payments. You can’t sell your house when you can’t pay a realtor and you either owe more than your mortgage or you might break even.

 I didn’t know what to do, and quite frankly I laid around and cried a lot. I threw a record breaking pity party saying this isn’t supposed to happen to people like us. My husband is career military. I took care of our home and I was nearing finishing college. We have never done anything “bad” so how could this be real? As cheesy as it sounds I was driving my kids to school and I heard a really car salesman sounding ad saying, “we will buy your house with cash!” so when I got home I googled the phrase, typed in Boise, and I found Dan with Treasure Valley Property Solutions. This ad on the radio wasn’t his, but out of numerous calls he was the only person who asked for every detail, proposed a solution that would help us quickly, and most of all he was confident that this could benefit both parties.

My husband and I both thought this was a load of crap to be frank. How could someone swoop in and fix this mess? Up until the day when we met at a title company to complete paperwork we were terrified something was up. Really though, there isn’t a negative thing that I can say so far. The closing papers were clear, Dan answered all my questions, we have legal paperwork, and I have access to see that the mortgage is being paid. I can now say that closing is behind us, our mortgage was caught up and our credit score is improving. It still seems like some sort of magic to us, but whatever it is, I’m glad it happened and that I took a chance on a solution that was terrifying to us.
